Through initiatives like the Center for Inclusive Digital Transformation of Africa (The Center) and the African Engineering and Technology Network (AFROTC), CMU-Africa collaborates with leading universities, governments, industries, and partners to strengthen engineering education, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship across Africa. We are seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative, and results-driven Program Manager to oversee the operational execution of The Center’s Teaching & Learning portfolio. This position will involve coordinating a diverse range of initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, and aligning activities with strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, multi-institutional environment, managing multiple workstreams, engaging stakeholders, and maintaining rigorous operational oversight. Collaboration with faculty, academic leaders, program teams, partner institutions, and colleagues will be essential to ensure seamless coordination, effective monitoring, and sustainable impact for Teaching & Learning activities. Key Responsibilities: Partner with the Associate Director of Teaching & Learning to develop and implement coordinated plans, including annual work plans, budgets, timelines, and operational strategies for the Teaching & Learning portfolio. Collaborate with program leads to ensure the effective day-to-day execution of initiatives, adhering to schedules, budgets, and program goals while meeting donor commitments. Facilitate faculty development, teaching innovation, and professional learning programs, including fellowships, communities of practice, training initiatives, and activities tied to the Teaching Innovation Center. Support the implementation of bridge programs, graduate readiness initiatives, online learning opportunities, and other pathways to strengthen access to advanced engineering and technology education. Coordinate experiential learning efforts, such as practica, internships, and project-based learning, to enhance student preparedness for graduate study and career success. Oversee the logistical planning and execution of workshops, training sessions, exchanges, events, fellowships, and consultant engagements within the portfolio.
