Job summary: The HIS specialist will oversee data quality assurance processes, validate reports, and conduct routine assessments. Key duties encompass leading cross-functional project teams to deliver solutions on time and within budget, ensuring all deliverables meet established quality standards. Collaborating effectively with stakeholders, you will conduct comprehensive needs analyses, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and oversee implementation phases. Facilitating continuous data quality assurance initiatives across national and provincial contexts. Monitor HIS data to ensure completeness, timeliness, and accuracy, and facilitate the development of corrective action plans as needed. Offer technical support to enhance data collection, reporting processes, and data flow within national systems, including DHIS2. To deliver training sessions for provincial staff, focusing on the effective use of HIS tools, key indicators, and methods for data analysis and interpretation. Developing and distributing HIS guidelines, SOPs, employment aids, and training materials represents a key responsibility of the role. Provide remote support supervision and technical assistance as required. Engage actively in technical working groups, providing valuable input into planning initiatives, as well as overseeing and documenting progress through consistent monitoring and reporting efforts.
