Responsabilités
Les maintenance fitters sont responsables de l'assemblage et de l'installation précis de composants et de sous-ensembles à l'aide de métal et d'autres matériaux afin de garantir des processus de production fluides. Ils assurent la maintenance et la réparation des machines et autres équipements. Pour déterminer la forme et les dimensions exactes d'un composant destiné à l'usinage, ils analysent les plans et utilisent des instruments de mesure pour marquer la pièce en conséquence. Les composants usinés peuvent être assemblés et ajustés en perçant des trous et en taraudant, si nécessaire, pour faciliter le boulonnage des pièces entre elles. Pour garantir un alignement et un fonctionnement corrects, ils vérifient l'étanchéité des joints et le fonctionnement des pièces mobiles. Si l'ajustement n'est pas dans les tolérances spécifiées, ils affinent les pièces par limage ou burinage pour atteindre la précision souhaitée. Ils fabriquent, alignent et fixent les systèmes de tuyauterie hydraulique et pneumatique en coupant, filetant et cintrant les composants selon des spécifications précises avant l'installation. Ils nettoient et lubrifient les composants finis pour assurer un fonctionnement fluide et prévenir l'usure. Ils se spécialisent dans la fabrication, la maintenance et le dépannage des systèmes et composants hydrauliques et pneumatiques. Ils utilisent une variété de machines motorisées, qui peuvent être à commande manuelle ou informatisée. Ils installent et assemblent les machines et équipements sur les sites de travail désignés conformément aux spécifications du projet et aux protocoles de sécurité. Leur rôle implique de mener des inspections systématiques des machines pour identifier et résoudre tout problème opérationnel, d'effectuer les ajustements ou réparations nécessaires, et de remplacer les composants usés ou endommagés selon les besoins. Les experts installent les pièces de remplacement soit en envoyant les pièces défectueuses à l'atelier d'usinage pour remise en état, soit en effectuant la réparation sur place.
Exigences et compétences
Certificat complet de 12e année. Un diplôme, un diplôme universitaire ou un certificat de métier en ajustage mécanique, ainsi que des qualifications techniques pertinentes, sont requis. Avec un minimum de trois ans d'expérience professionnelle, les candidats doivent avoir un historique prouvé dans leur domaine. De bonnes compétences en communication et de solides capacités interpersonnelles sont essentielles. Pensée critique avec une forte capacité à prendre des décisions judicieuses et éclairées.
