Responsabilités
The role requires overseeing the company’s monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings across all applicable tax categories, ensuring each submission is precise, submitted promptly, and fully compliant with the regulations set forth by the Rwanda Revenue Authority (ERA). Additionally, the position entails managing the e-invoice system and the issuance of tax invoices, verifying compliance and completeness in alignment with ERA’s e-invoicing mandates while addressing any discrepancies in invoicing. The role further involves preparing monthly financial statements for all entities within the company, coordinating annual tax and financial audits, and managing other tax-related responsibilities. Responsibilities also include overseeing tax matters pertaining to import transactions, withholding tax obligations, transfer pricing documentation, and transactions involving related parties. Proactively identifying and evaluating tax risks, responding to tax audits and inspections, and staying abreast of evolving Rwandan tax policies to adapt the company’s tax strategy accordingly are also key duties. Furthermore, the position requires conducting regular training sessions for the finance team to strengthen their foundational understanding of tax principles. Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in finance or a closely related discipline, accompanied by approximately a decade of professional experience, including a minimum of five years dedicated to tax-related work. Proficiency in Rwandan tax legislation, encompassing value-added tax, income tax, withholding tax, transfer pricing, and customs regulations, is essential, along with expertise in tax filing and e-invoice systems. Fluency in English is required. Prior experience within the tax department of a tax advisory firm or one of the Big Four accounting firms is advantageous. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders across departments, coupled with exceptional analytical abilities and problem-solving acumen. Integrity, adherence to ethical standards, and strict compliance with tax regulations are non-negotiable qualities for this position.

- •Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
- •Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
- •Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
- •Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
- •Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
- •A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
