Blantyre Sports Club (BSC), a distinguished member-based social and sports organization founded in 1896, offers an array of premium facilities, including golf, tennis, football, snooker, and catering services in Blantyre. Committed to delivering exceptional service and hospitality to its members and the broader community, BSC seeks a dynamic and qualified individual to join its Finance Department as a Finance Intern (Accounts). Under the guidance of the Accountant and Finance Manager, the selected candidate will support daily accounting operations and administrative tasks, gaining practical experience and mentorship from a seasoned team. Key responsibilities include verifying daily cash sales reports, reviewing restaurant receipts and sales slips, recording cash payments, and generating quick reports. The intern will also maintain organized financial documentation, reconcile food and beverage deliveries with invoices, update stock records, conduct bi-monthly stock counts in bars and storage areas, and perform surprise stock and cash verifications in the main storage room and restaurant cashiers. Additionally, the intern will match cash collections using the Hotel Master system and prepare corresponding reports. Applicants must hold a Diploma or Certificate in Financial Accounting (ICAM or ACCA), Business Management, or a related field, earned between 2023 and the present. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. Preference will be given to candidates residing in Blantyre city and its surrounding districts.
