To strengthen its operational capacity across its Mzuzu, Lilongwe, and Blantyre locations, CMST invites applications for dynamic, forward-thinking professionals to fill the following role: Branch Accountant Job Title: Branch Accountant Job Grade: MS4 Location: Blantyre Reporting Line: Branch Manager (MS3) Supervisory Role: Assistant Accountant (MS6) Vacancy: One (1) position This position is designed to oversee all accounting functions at the branch level, ensuring robust financial governance and efficient inventory management. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate warehouse accounting records, such as stock cards, and escalating financial concerns to the Branch Manager. The role also involves designing and coordinating training initiatives for accounting staff, reinforcing adherence to stock management protocols, and preparing compliant financial statements in line with regulatory standards. Additionally, the Branch Accountant will play a pivotal role in cash flow forecasting, budget formulation, and expenditure control, while upholding institutional policies and procedural integrity. Supervisory duties extend to guiding the branch’s accounting team, preserving meticulous stock documentation, and monitoring ledger integrity.
