To fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components in accordance with technical drawings and specifications, utilizing appropriate tools and welding techniques. The position is responsible for producing high-quality metal parts for use in construction, manufacturing, or industrial machinery, while ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and maintaining optimal efficiency in both workshop and on-site settings. Key Responsibilities Accomplish MIG, TIG, and arc welding tasks on mild steel (MS) and stainless steel (SS) components. Fabricate metal components by precisely measuring, cutting, and fitting them using gas cutting equipment, grinders, and additional fabrication tools. Construct structures, tanks, pipelines, and equipment according to engineering drawings, ensuring precision in fabrication and assembly. Verify that all fabrication processes—including alignment, finishing, and welding—meet the required standards of quality and precision. Perform inspections and tests on welds to evaluate their strength, visual quality, and compliance with established standards. Perform welding tasks encompassing repair, modification, and maintenance activities. Ensure welding machines, tools, and equipment remain in optimal operational condition through regular maintenance and upkeep. Adhere rigorously to established safety protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) mandates, and applicable welding standards throughout all operational activities. Collaborate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and production teams to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to established deadlines. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols by strictly following electrical safety standards and food industry hygiene regulations. Ensure adherence to electrical codes: Verify that all tasks comply with both local and international electrical standards and regulations. Accurately document all repair activities, inspections performed, and system upgrades implemented to ensure comprehensive records are maintained. Collaborate cross-functionally by liaising with production, quality assurance, and engineering departments to facilitate seamless operational workflows. Handle emergency situations promptly by providing urgent repairs during equipment breakdowns or power outages. Qualifications & Key Requirements Technical / Vocational Training Certified in Metal Fabrication and Welding, you possess specialized technical expertise in constructing, assembling, and repairing metal components using a variety of fabrication techniques and welding processes. Your proficiency encompasses both manual and automated welding methods, ensuring precise joins and structural integrity. You are adept at interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to execute projects accurately. Additionally, you maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety protocols and quality control standards to deliver reliable and compliant metal fabrication solutions.
