We are seeking an ESG & Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Specialist We are seeking an experienced ESG & Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust ESG strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and driving continuous improvement through effective monitoring and evaluation. Your duties will include designing and overseeing MEL frameworks, conducting data analysis to assess program impact, and utilizing findings to inform strategic decision-making. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG principles into organizational practices and report on performance metrics to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ESG frameworks, experience with MEL methodologies, and excellent analytical and communication skills. Based in Kitwe, this full-time position integrates the implementation of corporate sustainability (ESG) initiatives with the management of project performance and impact tracking (MEL), ensuring growth through data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities ESG Management: Develop and oversee ESG frameworks while ensuring adherence to both local and international regulations. Lead comprehensive risk assessments and compile detailed reporting maintaining transparency and accountability. MEL Frameworks: Craft data collection instruments, monitor key performance metrics, ensure quality control, and derive meaningful insights from the data. Learning & Reporting: Foster a learning-centric environment across all teams while producing detailed impact reports to keep stakeholders informed. Key Requirements Education: Diploma A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Statistics, Development Studies, or a closely related discipline is required. Experience: Experienced professionals with 1 to 4 years of expertise in managing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks and/or Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems are sought. Candidates with a background in the NGO or corporate sustainability sector are particularly encouraged to apply. Skills: Proficient in utilizing data analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, and KoboToolbox/OK, and possesses a strong understanding of the Zambian environmental regulatory framework.
