We seek a highly capable, proficient, and seasoned Head of Digital Data to support Total Energies in Kampala. We organize and facilitate a variety of engaging activities designed to meet diverse interests and developmental needs. These may include workshops, team-building exercises, recreational programs, and skill-development sessions. Additionally, we oversee the implementation of these activities to ensure they align with organizational goals and participant expectations. Deliver comprehensive EPU Digital Analytics services by providing mentorship and support in the domains of digital analytics and visualization, ensuring clients receive expert guidance and assistance throughout their projects. Develop the tools in full alignment with TotalEnergies’ compliance framework, ensuring adherence to all established standards and requirements. Ensure proactive involvement in Citizen Data Sciences initiatives and other regional programs aimed at fostering digital transformation across the Affiliate.

• Identify opportunities throughout the organization where analytics and visualization can be integrated to enhance business workflows. Leverage external capabilities to enhance digital operations by collaborating with the C&P and national content teams. Collaborate closely with the headquarters digital teams to drive and execute implementation initiatives. Engage with external stakeholders and internal teams to identify emerging trends and explore their potential applications across the organization. Skilled in collaborating with business stakeholders to identify and deliver digital opportunities. Leverage partnerships with both local and global IT teams to ensure seamless delivery of required IT services. Responsibilities include overseeing the continuous delivery and upkeep of the Data Management Platform (DMP) specifically for EPU, ensuring its operational integrity and alignment with organizational standards.

Advocate for EPU’s interests in Data Governance councils by articulating and promoting its requirements and priorities.

• Establish and execute data key performance indicators (KPIs) to uphold standards of quality, availability, and governance. Operationalize and manage the data governance councils within EPU to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
• Provide ongoing guidance and assistance to data representatives operating within diverse domains to enhance their performance and professional growth. We are responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive data management training initiatives tailored for both the Effort and Deform programs. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is mandatory. At least three years of professional experience in software development is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary. Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are required. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus. The necessary academic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, finance, or a related discipline. A minimum of three years of professional experience in a similar role is required, with a preference for candidates who have held positions in academic or research institutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. Familiarity with grant writing and academic publishing is highly desirable, as is the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse audiences. A bachelor’s degree with honors in a data or technology-related field within an industrial setting is required. A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience is necessary for this role. Candidates should possess prior expertise in the specific field or industry pertinent to the position. Additionally, familiarity with key industry standards and practices is expected. Experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity may also be required, depending on the level of the role. Requires a minimum of five years of hands-on experience within the oil and gas sector. With a minimum of ten years of extensive experience in Data & Digital, specifically within Engineering and Operations data domains, you will bring a wealth of specialized knowledge to the role. Demonstrates a strong track record in overseeing digital delivery initiatives and establishing robust foundational data systems.
