Chief Executive of the Organization

St. Charles Lwanga Buikwe Hospital, a private not-for-profit healthcare facility (PNFP) under the ownership of the Catholic Diocese of FUGAZI, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team as Chief Executive Officer. The hospital receives support from Archdiocese Caritas Prague of the Czech Republic and maintains an affiliation with the Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau.

As the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide strategic leadership and overall management of the organization. You will be responsible for establishing and driving the company's long-term vision, mission, and strategic objectives. This role demands extensive experience in senior executive positions, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of achieving measurable business results. You will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to ensure alignment with corporate governance standards and stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities include setting high-level policies, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability, and ensuring the organization's financial health and sustainability. Additionally, the position requires strong communication skills to engage with employees, investors, and external partners while representing the company in public forums and industry events.

As the official representative of the Hospital, you will hold the authority to articulate its public stance and commit the organization to definitive positions. You will also chair the Hospital Management Team, assuming responsibility for structuring and leading the team's operations to ensure cohesive and effective management of hospital functions.

In this role, you will oversee the organization's financial health by meticulously managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure accurate and timely financial data. You will develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize resource allocation and drive sustainable growth. Conducting detailed financial analyses, including variance analysis and trend assessments, will be key to identifying opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement. Ensuring compliance with all applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies is essential to mitigate risks and maintain transparency.

You will lead the preparation of annual financial statements, tax filings, and regulatory submissions in accordance with legal and organizational requirements. Collaborating with senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights and support informed decision-making across all departments is a critical aspect of this role. You will manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors, investors, and financial institutions, to foster trust and secure necessary funding. Supervising the finance team, including hiring, training, and performance management, will ensure high standards of professionalism and operational efficiency. Implementing and maintaining robust financial control systems to safeguard assets and prevent fraud or financial irregularities is also required. Driving process improvements in financial operations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability will be part of your mandate.

Additionally, you will foster meaningful connections with community stakeholders and cultivate strategic public relations initiatives to enhance organizational visibility and reputation. You will also be responsible for overseeing and executing human resources functions, optimizing workforce performance, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, and fostering a productive organizational culture. Key HR responsibilities include talent acquisition, employee onboarding, performance management, and conflict resolution, while also developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

We are seeking candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in [specific industry or role].
