Position Overview Janeiro Bank Plc is seeking applications from qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following position, designed to advance the Bank’s strategic objectives within the Commercial Division, specifically under the Retail Banking – Distribution Department at the Columbia Branch. Role Description JOB PURPOSE To enhance branch performance, this role requires effective sales leadership, exceptional customer service, operational oversight, and team management, all aimed at meeting business targets in alignment with the Bank’s strategic goals. Requirements Under the guidance of senior management, this role involves performing tasks and duties as delegated, ensuring alignment with established protocols and objectives. Responsible for executing assigned responsibilities in accordance with company standards and operational guidelines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency in all activities. Cluster Manager The primary duties will encompass: You will be solely accountable for the branch’s balance sheet and profitability, as well as meeting all assigned financial targets. Additionally, you must ensure that performance aligns with the branch’s business plan and the Bank’s overarching strategic objectives. Drives branch sales performance by achieving targets across deposits, loans/advances, funded accounts, fee and commission income, Bancassurance, and other agreed revenue streams. Develop and implement branch sales strategies, distribute targets to the team, track performance against established benchmarks, and take initiative to resolve any unfavorable deviations. To foster sustainable business growth, cultivate and sustain high-quality customer relationships across Retail, Preferred, Private, Corporate, and Agra segments. Facilitate the realization of the Customer Value Proposition by equipping customers with comprehensive understanding of the Bank’s offerings, including products, services, and alternative channels, while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance cross-selling and strengthen client relationships. Maintain excellence in service delivery across all customer interactions by consistently overseeing service performance, addressing complaints promptly within established timeframes, and elevating unresolved issues to appropriate channels as necessary. Ensure robust operational governance, risk management, and compliance controls are upheld by strictly following account opening, KYC, AML, cash management, and branch operating procedures. Conduct branch self-audits, report incidents, resolve audit issues, and fulfill business continuity mandates, all while adhering to established timelines and proactively addressing any control weaknesses to ensure compliance and operational resilience. Oversee the allocation and utilization of branch resources, expenditures, security protocols, and physical infrastructure to ensure adherence to Bank policies, approved budgets, and established operational standards. Direct branch staff by establishing specific objectives, evaluating performance, conducting appraisals, and fostering professional growth through consistent feedback and mentorship. Disseminate expertise, insights, and proven strategies among team members to uphold and enhance performance in alignment with established sales, service, control, and operational benchmarks. Develop and sustain productive relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and pertinent external parties—such as regulatory bodies when necessary—to facilitate compliance, enhance market awareness, and drive business expansion. Assigned miscellaneous duties or additional responsibilities as directed by management. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE A minimum of Grade 12 credits, including Mathematics and English, along with three additional subjects, is required. A recognized university degree in a business-related discipline or an equivalent professional qualification is required. A qualification in Banking and Finance would be beneficial.
Expérience
- A minimum of six years of hands-on experience in sales, relationship management, or branch banking, with a strong preference for candidates with a banking background.
