Harley's Limited, a company registered in 1953, specializes in the sales, marketing, and distribution of healthcare products, pharmaceuticals, surgical equipment, medical equipment, ophthalmic equipment, theatre equipment, and OTC products. Since the current management took over in 1975, the volume of business has continued to grow steadily.

We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our Kenya operations. This is a full-time position based in Nairobi, Kenya, within the Procurement / Store-keeping / Supply Chain job field.

Are you a detail-oriented, results-driven professional with a passion for supply chain excellence? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment where your work directly supports service delivery and business continuity? If so, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

As the Supply Chain Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of products from suppliers to warehouse, and ultimately to our customers across Kenya and the region. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinating procurement and logistics, and ensuring that all supply chain processes run efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with the company's policies and regulatory requirements. This position requires strong coordination skills, accuracy in data handling, proactive communication, and a commitment to ethical standards and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management & Inventory Control: Coordinate supplier orders based on approved forecasts and stock movement. Monitor goods in transit and ensure timely delivery to maintain optimal stock levels across the business.

Inventory Reporting: Generate and share regular reports on inventory status, order tracking, and goods movement. Support demand planning by providing data on Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA), sales trends, and stock availability.

Cross-Functional & External Coordination: Collaborate with sales, warehouse, finance, and business unit teams to align procurement and stock decisions.

Procurement & Logistics Optimization: Execute end-to-end procurement processes while consolidating orders for cost savings. Coordinate inbound logistics, maintain up-to-date records (purchase orders, GRNs, delivery notes), and follow up on supplier performance returns and documentation.

Compliance & Process Integrity: Ensure full adherence to departmental governance framework, company SOPs, procurement policies, and ethical standards. Comply with all relevant Kenyan regulations and support internal audits or quality assurance processes as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

A Diploma and/or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or Business. A professional certification such as CIPS, KISM, or APICS will be an advantage. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a supply chain or procurement role, preferably in the pharmaceutical, FMCG, or medical distribution sectors. Proficiency in supply chain software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, MS Excel, inventory tracking tools). Sound knowledge of Kenyan import regulations, tax procedures, and supplier compliance requirements.

Required Skills:

Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. High level of integrity and commitment to upholding company values and compliance standards. Experience in healthcare operations will be an advantage.

Expert Application Advice

In your logistics application, prove you solve bottlenecks. When listing experience with Excel, show how you improved flow or cut costs at Harleys Limited. Use numbers—like reducing delays by 20%—to make your skills undeniable.

International NGO — NGO recruiters read your cover letter to assess your understanding of the humanitarian mission, not just technical skills. Show you know the country field context and the specific challenges of this sector.

Field and ERP — Specify your experience with local customs procedures and the ERPs you genuinely master. Recruiters often test stock-out management in emergencies — prepare a concrete example.

  • Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
