Legal Research and Production Specialist
GPS Intercontinental Limited, a legal services firm, is seeking a Legal Research and Production Specialist to join its team in Lagos, Nigeria. This is a full-time position within the Law & Compliance sector, offering a monthly gross salary of NGN 200,000 to 250,000. The role is open to candidates with no experience or less than one year of experience, making it an excellent opportunity for interns and recent graduates.
Job Summary
The role involves preparing research memoranda, case documentation, and documents. There is no litigation involved. Successful hires will apply legal training and common-law reasoning through structured onboarding and supervised assignments.
Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and prepare research memoranda. Draft and produce case documents using templates. Maintain citation accuracy and document production quality standards. Meet agreed turnaround times and revision discipline. Contribute to research and template resources.
Requirements
A minimum of 0-3 years of experience. A structured learning curve supported by onboarding and ongoing training. LLB from an accredited Nigerian institution. BL from the Nigerian Law School; called to the Nigerian Bar, or in final stages of bar admission. Strong academic record. Demonstrated legal writing capability; a writing sample will be required during the process. Strong written English in a formal legal register. Coachability and demonstrable learning aptitude. Comfort with template-driven, behind-the-scenes work.
Remuneration and Benefits
Remuneration is NGN 200,000-250,000 monthly gross. A transportation allowance may be offered.
Working Hours and Language
Full-time, 8 to 5. English language requirement.
