The key purpose This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, repairing, and optimizing plant machinery and related equipment to ensure operational efficiency and product quality. Additionally, the role involves maintaining equipment and process control systems within a manufacturing facility, as well as performing maintenance and troubleshooting on measurement and control devices. Key roles and responsibilities : Adhere to all established safety protocols, health guidelines, and environmental regulations in accordance with applicable legislation. Ensure adherence to established safety protocols and maintain impeccable housekeeping standards at all times. Identify and secure the necessary plant, equipment, spares, and associated documentation systems. We are seeking an organized professional to develop and implement strategic plans for job assignments. This individual will be responsible for preparing and organizing job-related tasks, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed to ensure optimal functionality and longevity of equipment and systems. Continuously enhance the efficiency and performance of the plant, process equipment, and systems through ongoing evaluation and optimization initiatives. Communicate effectively in teams Assist in enhancing both individual and collective competencies through continuous learning and collaborative efforts. Implement and uphold 5S methodologies and principles consistently within the operational environment. Operate and maintain the process in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure all procedural guidelines are followed precisely to guarantee consistent and compliant operations. Engage in and mentor autonomous operations to ensure seamless execution and adherence to established protocols. Support quality at source Enhance individual skill sets and adaptability to evolving professional demands and organizational needs. Implement loss and waste reduction strategies, alongside short interval control methodologies, to promptly detect and address operational issues. Employ advanced analytical skills to systematically address and resolve situational challenges. Profile: As a candidate for this position, you should have between one and two years of hands-on experience in either mechanical or electrical artisan roles. Grade 12 Diploma/Certificate in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering. Certified member of EIZ On-the-job training will be provided for a minimum duration of two to three months. Instrumentation equipment maintenance Professional Paragraph: Experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment is essential for this role.
