Assistant Stocks and Credit Manager - Kinangop Dairy Limited
Kinangop Dairy Limited, a leading dairy processing and distribution company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Stocks and Credit Manager. This is a full-time position based in our operations, and we are looking for a candidate who can effectively support our credit control, stock management, and sales administration functions.
Job Purpose
The Assistant Stocks and Credit Manager will be responsible for supporting the management of product distribution, credit control, debt collection, customer account management, and sales administration functions. The role will ensure compliance with the Company's Credit Policy while maintaining excellent customer service, accurate reporting, and optimal stock management.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
Credit Control and Debt Management
Support the implementation and enforcement of the Company's Credit Policy.
Monitor customer accounts and prepare periodic statements for review.
Conduct creditworthiness assessments for new credit applicants.
Ensure timely collection and allocation of customer payments.
Reconcile customer accounts and follow up on overdue balances.
Sales Administration
Create and process sales documents and customer orders.
Generate sales and revenue reports.
Acknowledge customer purchase orders.
Maintain accurate customer records and account information.
Coordinate communication between customers and the sales team regarding orders and deliveries.
Stock and Distribution Management
Coordinate product allocation based on customer orders and forecasts.
Monitor stock movements and mobile warehouse reconciliations.
Manage market returns and ensure accurate stock records.
Support management of crates and cans to ensure minimal losses.
Verify deliveries to customers and ensure accountability in the distribution process.
Logistics Coordination
Coordinate transportation and delivery of products to customers.
Liaise with transporters and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries.
Monitor transporter performance and maintain accurate transport records.
Reporting and Customer Service
Prepare accurate weekly and monthly sales and credit reports.
Receive and coordinate resolution of customer complaints and feedback.
Maintain high standards of customer service and brand representation.
Provide management with timely and accurate operational reports.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
Must possess a Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or an equivalent qualification.
Must have CPA Part II or above.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in a busy FMCG environment.
Must have at least three (3) years' experience working with ERP systems; knowledge of Syspro will be an added advantage.
Must possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
A Master's Degree in Business Management will be an added advantage.
