The Rwanda Ministry of Health and Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), through its Malaria and Other Parasitic Diseases Division (MOPED), aim to enhance the proficiency of healthcare workers in delivering accurate malaria diagnosis and treatment services. To achieve this, updated training manuals must be developed to align with the Rwanda Malaria Strategic Plan (NSP) 2027–2030, national malaria treatment guidelines, and the Rwanda Multiple First-Line Therapy (MFT) strategy. These manuals will foster continuous professional growth by encouraging independent learning, structured knowledge exchange, and uniform training standards across all levels of the health system. The primary goal is to create and standardize malaria training manuals that reflect current national policies and guidelines, thereby improving the knowledge, skills, and competencies of healthcare providers in delivering high-quality malaria care across the health system. Over a 45-day period, the consultant will: – Perform a rapid desk review of national malaria policies, program documents, and engage with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, RBC/MOPED, and implementing partners. – Align training manual content with the Rwanda Malaria Strategic Plan 2027–2030 and Integrated Malaria Control Guidelines. – Incorporate the Rwanda Multiple First-Line Therapy (MFT) strategy into relevant training modules. – Develop facilitator guides and participant workbooks compatible with the national Learning Management System (LMS). – Create competency-based assessment tools, such as pre-tests, post-tests, clinical skills checklists, and case studies. – Ensure training modules cater to diverse audiences, including Kinyarwanda content for Community Health Workers (CHWs) and English/French versions for facility-level providers. – Validate the training manuals through stakeholder consultations. The consultant will deliver: – A desk review report summarizing key findings from the review of national malaria policies, guidelines, strategies, and program documents (5 days). – Developed malaria training manuals tailored to different healthcare cadres, with language adaptations for CHWs (Kinyarwanda) and facility-based providers (English/French) (18 days). – Facilitator guides and participant workbooks designed to facilitate effective training delivery and learner engagement, structured for LMS integration (8 days). – A stakeholder-validated final training package, incorporating feedback from the Ministry of Health, RBC/MOPED, and key partners, ready for national rollout (4 days). –

  • Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
