Job Summary The Legal Officer/Counsel is responsible for overseeing the organization’s legal risks and maintaining its engagements with law enforcement and regulatory bodies, ensuring comprehensive legal protection across retail, financing, and recovery activities. Overseeing a comprehensive range of responsibilities, the role encompasses a variety of key tasks and obligations designed to ensure operational excellence and deliver high-quality outcomes. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. Additionally, the role requires adherence to established protocols, adherence to deadlines, and proactive problem-solving to maintain efficiency and productivity across all assigned duties. Draft, approve, and administer all contracts pertaining to dealers, retailers, and financial institutions, ensuring compliance and alignment with organizational standards. Oversee the complete lifecycle of stolen-bike cases, encompassing all necessary legal proceedings and meticulous documentation. Collaborate with the HR Manager to oversee and develop employee contracts. Oversee the group’s law enforcement cases and maintain direct liaison with police authorities regarding ongoing investigations. Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to facilitate the retrieval and release of recovered or repossessed bicycles. Provide strategic guidance to the organization regarding potential legal risks inherent in retail, financing, and recovery activities. Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in relevant fields, complemented by a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, is essential. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the capacity to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments. Prior leadership or project management experience is highly valued, as is a proven track record of delivering measurable results.
