About Us Chimeral Zambia Limited, a leading entity in mineral processing and mining, operates a state-of-the-art manganese smelting facility in the Serene processing corridor. Dedicated to the production and exportation of premium-grade manganese alloys, the company plays a pivotal role in fostering local industrial employment and bolstering regional economic growth. Position Overview We are in search of a highly proficient professional who demonstrates a strong commitment to safety protocols. Front-End Loader Operator In this position, you will operate a wheel loader to securely and effectively manage the movement, scooping, stockpiling, and transportation of raw materials, manganese ore, slag, and industrial waste, thereby facilitating uninterrupted smelting operations. Key Responsibilities Responsible for operating front-end loaders with precision and safety to transport, elevate, and deposit manufacturing materials and raw goods—including scrap metal, slag, coal, and sand—into designated areas. Efficiently supply materials to processing areas, collaborating closely with furnace operators and metal separation personnel to consistently achieve daily production targets. Materials must be systematically loaded into commercial trucks or stockpiles to prevent overloading and mitigate site traffic congestion. Conduct routine mandatory safety inspections on the loader, assessing fluid levels, tire or track conditions, brake functionality, and hydraulic lift operation. Daily maintenance of the loader involves cleaning and greasing, along with the replacement of minor worn components. Any significant mechanical faults must be promptly reported to the workshop team. Maintain cleanliness and accessibility in driving pathways, loading bays, and slag separation zones by promptly removing spills, obstructions, and debris. Compliance with Zambian occupational health and safety regulations, site-specific safety protocols, and established company procedures is mandatory, and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times. Required Qualifications And Experience Full Grade 9 or Grade 12 School Certificate. Valid Class CE Driver’s License combined with a specialized Front End Loader Operator Permit Paragraph: A valid Front End Loader Operator Permit is required for this position. This permit demonstrates that the candidate has successfully completed the necessary training and assessment to safely and efficiently operate a front end loader. The role involves handling various tasks, including loading materials, moving earth, and performing site maintenance as needed. . A valid Silicosis Medical Certificate Safety compliance is absolutely essential for working in this industrial or processing environment. Proven expertise and demonstrated proficiency in the specified area are essential.
