Vital Strategies, an international public health organization, designs programs to strengthen health systems and address leading causes of illness, injury, and death globally. Operating in 73 countries, the organization advances data-driven governance, evidence-based policies, and strategic communication campaigns. Its priorities focus on areas with the greatest potential to improve and save lives, including non-communicable disease prevention, tobacco control, road safety, obesity prevention, overdose prevention, environmental health, and vital statistics systems. Programs are primarily based in low- and middle-income countries across Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the Pacific. Vital Strategies is expanding its global initiative to address lead poisoning in low- and middle-income countries by collaborating with government agencies in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Key responsibilities encompass technical and programmatic support, such as designing the lead poisoning prevention program, building capacity among government and non-government staff, developing surveillance frameworks, standardizing procedures, securing ethical approvals, training field teams, organizing technical discussions, and conducting policy analysis. The role also involves stakeholder engagement, data management, communication, operations, and administration, including supervising a small team, managing logistics, ensuring data quality, analyzing surveillance findings, and reporting to stakeholders and senior leadership. Qualified candidates will hold a master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, environmental science, biostatistics, demography, or public administration, with at least six to seven years of experience in epidemiology, environmental health, global health, or program implementation. • Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
