PURPOSE OF ROLE The physician ensures the provision of high-quality medical services while maintaining exceptional standards of patient care and customer service within the healthcare facility. Medical doctors alternate between outpatient, emergency, and inpatient departments, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care to patients and their families. KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: Ensure adherence to all MBBS-established clinical care standards to maintain exceptional quality, and, as applicable, recognize the need for and/or develop any necessary medical practice standards or procedures. Regularly participate in clinical meetings to present updates and engage in discussions about enhancements to hospital services. As a requirement, you must be available to fulfill scheduled shifts, including on-call duties outside normal operating hours, weekends, and emergency situations as assigned. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES To uphold and advance international standards of exemplary medical practice within the facility, collaborate closely with fellow medical professionals, the Chief Medical Officer, and hospital management. Consistently uphold all MBHS protocols, procedures, and applicable local regulations without exception. Stay abreast of the most current clinical advancements and best practices worldwide by engaging in ongoing professional development, education, and targeted training initiatives. Ensure documentation is precise, clear, and contextually appropriate. Maintain strict adherence to universal infection control protocols across all hospital and clinic environments. Available for after-hours or on-call duties as scheduled, as well as during any urgent situations that arise outside of regular rostered periods. Ensure adherence to all supplementary duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Chief Medical Officer and/or the hospital/clinic manager on an ongoing basis. A valid and current HPCZ practicing certificate, along with registration, is required. Experienced candidates should possess a strong background in primary healthcare settings. Professional experience or qualifications in general surgery are highly desirable. Requires a minimum of five years of professional experience following the completion of an internship.
