Duties The Information Technology (IT) Administrator serves as a key member of the Diplomatic Technology team, responsible for the administration and maintenance of IT systems to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility. This role encompasses providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to end-users through various communication channels, performing detailed system analysis, and managing configuration updates, all of which have a significant impact across the organization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to resolve intricate technical challenges efficiently. Additionally, the Administrator contributes to network security protocols, executes system audits to verify compliance, and promotes user education on information security best practices. Participation in Diplomatic Technology initiatives and execution of other assigned responsibilities further define the position, underscoring a holistic approach to IT administration and support. Leveraging system administrator privileges, the Administrator delivers Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for on-premises and cloud-based applications, platforms, and server infrastructure. This includes managing service requests and IT incidents across all support channels, performing ticket triage, and resolving incidents in accordance with service desk objectives and CASS standards. The Administrator also creates, assigns, or updates tickets on behalf of users as required.
