The Carbon Excellence Country Coordinator The incumbent is tasked with maintaining the integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance verification of BURN’s biomass carbon initiatives in Zambia. The position oversees the implementation of a data-driven Carbon Excellence framework, ensuring robust monitoring systems, accurate operational data, and proactive risk mitigation to secure carbon issuance. Additionally, the role champions distribution quality excellence by aligning customer targeting, onboarding standards, geographic reach, and sales execution with carbon methodology requirements and sustained stove usage results. Key Responsibility Areas Carbon Performance & Project Integrity We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead our carbon reduction initiatives and ensure the integrity of our sustainability projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex environmental projects, with a strong focus on carbon accounting, reporting, and compliance with international standards such as GHG Protocol and ISO 14064. You will be responsible for developing and implementing carbon reduction strategies, overseeing project execution, and ensuring alignment with our organization’s sustainability goals. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in carbon performance, monitor progress against targets, and report on key metrics to senior leadership. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, a degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, and professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or similar. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Fluency in English is required, and additional language skills are a plus. Drive carbon performance initiatives for biomass carbon projects located in Zambia. Monitor and oversee critical carbon integrity metrics, such as customer accessibility for monitoring and verification processes, the precision of stove-to-customer matching, and the validation of stove usage alongside sustained adoption rates. Identify early warning indicators and deliver well-organized performance and risk assessments to executive leadership. Customer Targeting, Distribution Quality, and Market Integrity are critical components of this role. You will be responsible for identifying and engaging high-potential customers, ensuring that our distribution channels maintain the highest standards of efficiency and reliability, and upholding the integrity of our market presence. This involves analyzing market data, evaluating distribution performance, and implementing strategies to optimize customer acquisition and retention. Your efforts will directly contribute to our ability to compete effectively in the marketplace while maintaining trust and credibility with stakeholders. Ensure that the distribution process complies with all customer eligibility requirements as defined by the carbon methodology guidelines. Oversee the evaluation of distribution quality metrics, such as adherence to customer profile standards, precision in geographic targeting, and the effectiveness of sales and onboarding processes. Identify and address any deviations, including customer acquisition activities that fall outside the defined scope or ineffective targeting strategies. Ensure that distribution quality not only drives sustained stove usage but also upholds long-term carbon performance, rather than focusing solely on sales volumes. Ensure strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while spearheading ongoing enhancements to operational processes. Market Insights, Customer Experience & Cross-Functional Alignment Our organization is seeking a dynamic professional to drive strategic market intelligence, enhance customer satisfaction, and foster seamless collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will analyze market trends, gather customer feedback, and translate insights into actionable strategies to improve product development and service delivery. Additionally, they will champion cross-functional initiatives, aligning business objectives with customer needs while promoting a unified approach to organizational growth. Develop and customize targeting methodologies, carbon reduction strategies, and customer engagement programs to align with the specific conditions and demands of local markets. Collaborate with Customer Experience, Commercial, and Product teams to enhance customer satisfaction, ensure product-market alignment, drive adoption and sustained usage, and foster long-term customer engagement. Serve as the primary advocate for customers by pinpointing obstacles impacting adoption, usage, retention, accessibility, and overall satisfaction, then converting customer feedback and field insights into tangible enhancements. To uphold excellence in customer onboarding, assess the quality of the process to confirm that customers fully grasp product usage, maintenance protocols, financing obligations, and the various support channels accessible to them. Additionally, identify and resolve any gaps in the experience that could impede long-term product adoption or verification results. Lead initiatives focused on customer and carbon communication while providing training support to field teams to enhance customer education, improve onboarding processes, and drive sustained adoption of our stoves. Digital Monitoring Systems and Data Integrity We are seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of digital monitoring systems, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and security of critical data. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in system administration, data validation, and compliance with industry standards, while demonstrating a strong aptitude for troubleshooting complex technical issues. Responsibilities include configuring monitoring tools, conducting routine audits, and developing robust protocols to safeguard data integrity across all operational platforms. The role involves assisting in the deployment of digital monitoring tools and field data collection systems. Maintain the precision, thoroughness, and reliability of data across all sales, customer acquisition, and monitoring operations. Ensure datasets meet established standards by verifying their completeness, consistency, and traceability. Risk Management and Corrective Actions Specialist The Risk Management and Corrective Actions Specialist will be responsible for identifying potential risks, assessing their impact, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure operational integrity. This role involves conducting thorough risk assessments, developing corrective action plans, and monitoring compliance with established policies and procedures. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues, track corrective actions to completion, and verify their effectiveness. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings clearly are essential. Experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, and corrective action processes is required, along with proficiency in relevant tools and systems. Conduct thorough root cause analyses to identify underlying issues within operations, monitoring, data management, and distribution processes. Create and execute corrective action plans while assigning clear ownership and establishing realistic timelines. Monitor interventions to evaluate their effectiveness, prioritizing systemic solutions to address persistent issues. Continuous Improvement Foster a workplace environment that prioritizes data accuracy, quality assurance, personal responsibility, and an unwavering commitment to customer-focused operational excellence. Spearhead process optimization projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring readiness for verification. Foster a customer-centric mindset throughout all field and operational teams. • Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
