Responsibilities Direct responsibility includes leading, mentoring, and inspiring underground development teams, such as supervisors, engineers, and additional staff members, to achieve operational excellence and project objectives. Responsibilities include directing the planning, designing, and implementation of underground development initiatives, such as shaft sinking, tunnel excavation, and infrastructure construction. Ensuring strict compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices during underground development activities is a core responsibility. Managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and introducing cost-reduction strategies to ensure projects are delivered within allocated financial constraints. Monitoring project advancement, generating periodic reports, and evaluating performance metrics to identify opportunities for enhancement are key responsibilities of this role. Facilitates cross-functional collaboration with departments such as mine planning, operations, and engineering to maintain alignment and foster clear, efficient communication. Demonstrates in-depth technical expertise in underground mining operations, encompassing advanced knowledge of mine development methodologies, geotechnical fundamentals, and engineering principles. Seeking opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity in underground development by driving process improvement and innovation initiatives.

Expérience

• A degree in Mining Engineering Skilled in articulating ideas clearly through both speech and writing, with a proven aptitude for engaging effectively with individuals from varied cultural backgrounds and hierarchical levels. Experience and Competencies needed A minimum of ten years of hands-on experience in an underground development management position is required.
• Experience and knowledge on development operations. Skilled in operating across diverse mining regions and employing various mining methodologies effectively. Proficient in interpreting mining plans and adhering to specified requirements.
