Country General Manager – Uganda We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Country General Manager to oversee and drive the strategic and operational success of our business in Uganda. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in general management, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably within the FMCG, retail, or manufacturing sectors. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, ensuring consistent business growth, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Fluency in both English and Luganda, along with a deep understanding of the Ugandan market, is essential. The role requires a strong commercial acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex business landscapes. Background Female Camps & Lodges is in search of a seasoned Country Manager to spearhead strategic and operational leadership throughout our Uganda operations. This role demands a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences, achieving operational excellence, driving commercial success, and fostering sustainable growth within the business. The position functions within a matrix framework, executing Group strategies across multiple domains, including Finance, HR, Sales & Marketing, Reservations, and IT, and collaborates closely with the Executive Committee (EXPO) and key functional leaders. Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to ensure organizational goals are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and maintain high performance standards. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to support data-driven decision-making. Foster a collaborative work environment by mentoring team members, delegating responsibilities effectively, and promoting professional development opportunities. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality assurance protocols while mitigating risks and addressing operational challenges. Serve as a primary liaison between departments, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate seamless communication and alignment of objectives. Demonstrate visionary leadership while driving the execution of the Group’s strategic initiatives throughout Uganda. The position involves managing camps, lodges, destination management companies (DMCs), activities, and supporting operations to ensure seamless execution and high-quality guest experiences. Responsibilities include supervising daily operations, coordinating logistics, and maintaining service standards across all departments. Additionally, the role requires strategic planning and oversight to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Enhance operational efficiency, elevate service excellence, and uphold consistent company standards throughout all processes and initiatives.

Conduct ongoing assessment of financial performance, oversee budgets, manage costs, procurement activities, inventory levels, and capital expenditures to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Spearhead the execution of business systems and operational enhancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Leverage commercial strategies and cultivate pivotal partnerships with trade collaborators to drive business growth. Develop leadership skills, provide staff training, implement succession planning, and enhance employee engagement initiatives. Deliver outstanding guest experiences while maintaining impeccable property presentation standards at all times. Responsibilities include directing conservation, sustainability, corporate responsibility, and responsible tourism programs with a focus on ethical and sustainable practices. Develop and maintain robust partnerships with local communities, governmental entities, tourism organizations, and key players within the industry. Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, organizational policies, governance frameworks, and safety regulations. Develop and deliver consistent operational and financial performance reports to stakeholders on a scheduled basis. Requirements
