The Senior Officer Protection and Rule of Law at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) will oversee protection activities in Diffa, Niger, ensuring quality implementation and capacity building within the community. This role involves supervising protection teams, coordinating with local authorities and NGOs, and managing case documentation. The officer will also contribute to strategy development and community education on human rights. The position requires a strong background in legal frameworks and humanitarian protection. University degree in Law or related fields Knowledge of legal protection frameworks At least 3 years of experience in protection programs Experience in NGO work in humanitarian contexts Supervisory experience in multicultural environments Demonstrated capacity in protection monitoring and case management Experience in community mobilization for general protection Skills in capacity building and staff support Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Fluency in French; English is a plus
