JOB PURPOSE The Gender Justice Technical and Partnerships Coordinator delivers specialized technical guidance, strategic alignment, and partner management to enhance Oxfam’s gender-transformative initiatives throughout the Southern Africa (SAF) Cluster. This position is tasked with systematically integrating feminist principles, gender justice frameworks, and rights-based methodologies into all aspects of program development, execution, partner collaboration, knowledge generation, and advocacy efforts. In close partnership with implementing organizations, country-level teams, and the Gender Justice Program Manager, the role guarantees that gender justice initiatives are technically sound, strategically cohesive, contextually relevant, and fully consistent with Oxfam’s overarching regional strategy and objectives for systemic transformation. This position serves as the key technical liaison with partners on gender justice initiatives, enhancing partner capabilities, program excellence, donor adherence, and the mainstreaming of gender justice within core thematic areas such as climate and economic justice, humanitarian action, governance, and resilience programming. Additionally, the role is instrumental in aligning program execution, feminist methodologies, evidence-based insights, and advocacy efforts, ensuring that partner and community perspectives inform regional policy development, advocacy strategies, and organizational positioning. The position demands robust technical proficiency, adept facilitation skills, systems-oriented thinking, keen political acumen, and the ability to operate with professional independence—all within a multifaceted, partner-driven context spanning multiple countries. Essential Qualifications A master’s degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a closely related field is required. With a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in gender justice initiatives, feminist program design, women’s rights advocacy, and partner-led execution, the ideal candidate will bring a proven track record to this role. Demonstrates advanced technical proficiency and the capacity to align program design with strategic influencing and policy development efforts. Accomplished professionals must demonstrate a track record in managing multi-country or regional systems, fostering partner coordination, providing technical advisory services, and ensuring seamless program integration. Effective communication, analytical prowess, and decisive judgment are essential attributes for this role. Forged strong, trustworthy connections with internal teams and external partners.
