The Manufacturing Process Optimization Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing production efficiency, reducing waste, and driving continuous improvement across Bolloré’s manufacturing facilities in Kigali. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the engineer will analyze existing processes, implement lean methodologies, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design innovative solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals. This role offers a unique chance to influence the operational excellence of a multinational logistics firm while supporting Rwanda’s ambition to become a manufacturing hub. Conduct comprehensive process mapping and time‑study analyses to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Develop and implement lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping. Collaborate with production supervisors, quality engineers, and maintenance teams to design and test process improvements. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies to monitor performance metrics. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting cost savings and productivity gains. Lead pilot projects and scale successful initiatives across multiple production lines. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all optimization activities.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel). In‑depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma concepts. Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and ERP platforms. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software is a plus.
Formation
The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Advanced certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt are highly desirable and will be considered an asset during the selection process.
