Reconciliation Analyst Job at ITC Tanzania Job details Position: Reconciliation Analyst Function: IT & Billing Sub-function: Intelligence and Data Location: Dar es Salaam Organization: ITC Tanzania Role purpose The Reconciliation Analyst will conduct thorough reviews to identify and resolve discrepancies within both internal and external accounts. The position entails conducting daily evaluations of data submitted to governmental systems, detecting inconsistencies, and resolving them to uphold accuracy, regulatory adherence, and prompt resolution. Key accountabilities and decision ownership The Reconciliation Analyst will perform the following responsibilities: Perform daily assessments of data transmitted to governmental bodies to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards. Identify and resolve any inconsistencies that may arise between source systems, intermediate systems, and final to ensure accuracy and alignment throughout the data processing workflow.

• Review bill cancellations and completions. Resolve discrepancies in daily transactions across both internal and external accounts by identifying and implementing effective solutions. To facilitate timely resolution of discrepancies, maintain clear and professional communication with external parties and government agencies. Develop and uphold robust processes, controls, and verification mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports to ensure accurate financial alignment and transparency. Ensure all assigned tasks are completed in compliance with the established service-level agreements, adhering to the specified timelines and quality standards.

Expérience

• Oversee the operations, administration, and security of systems within the Intelligence and Data division, ensuring alignment with company standards, policies, procedures, and industry best practices. Support the development and maintenance of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans for all systems within the Intelligence and Data division. Core competencies and experience Candidates must demonstrate the following competencies and professional experience:

Formation / Diplômes

• Programming and SQL knowledge. A minimum of two years of hands-on experience within the IT or telecommunications industry is required. Seasoned professionals with a proven track record in handling extensive datasets within the realm of Management Information Systems will find this opportunity compelling. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience managing and analyzing large-scale data sets to derive actionable insights and support strategic decision-making processes. Proven track record integrating disparate data sources, such as APIs and ETL frameworks, to consolidate information into cohesive systems. Experienced in leveraging data visualization tools, with a focus on Power BI, to transform complex datasets into clear and actionable insights.

Exceptional focus on precision, particularly in ensuring data correctness and thorough reconciliation. Qualifications Applicants should meet the following requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Proficient in fundamental business intelligence principles and industry-standard data warehouse methodologies. Proven expertise in developing, refining, and resolving issues with intricate SQL queries is required. Requires strong competency with Microsoft Office suite applications—specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrates a proactive approach and thrives in high-pressure environments.
