About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and results-oriented Production Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, improve production efficiency, and ensure products are manufactured safely, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with production, maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, monitor, and optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Analyze production data to identify process improvements and reduce downtime.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment breakdowns and improve machine reliability.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other operational excellence methodologies.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for production issues.
Monitor production costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Support new product introductions, process validation, and equipment commissioning.
Prepare production reports, performance metrics, and technical documentation.
Train production staff on best manufacturing practices and process improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Expérience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or Continuous Improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of production planning, process optimization, quality management systems, and industrial safety.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems; knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering software is an added advantage.
