Le Rôle Sous la direction d'une équipe de direction expérimentée, la personne choisie collaborera à la supervision quotidienne d'une entreprise agricole commerciale à grande échelle. Un aspect essentiel du poste consiste à faciliter la culture, la conservation et la promotion des oignons pendant la saison de croissance, ainsi qu'à jouer un rôle dans l'administration du calendrier cultural étendu pour le reste de l'année.
Responsabilités Clés Contribuer au développement et à la mise en œuvre de programmes culturaux commerciaux. Faciliter la culture, la récolte, la manutention après récolte, le stockage et la distribution sur le marché des cultures d'oignons. Les responsabilités incluent la gestion des opérations sur le terrain telles que la plantation, l'irrigation, l'application d'engrais et la protection des cultures. Évaluer les performances des cultures et proposer des améliorations pour optimiser la production agricole. Superviser et motiver la main-d'œuvre agricole pour garantir des performances et une productivité optimales. Apporter un soutien dans la coordination et l'exécution de la planification des machines ainsi que de la logistique opérationnelle. Tenir des registres de production précis et à jour pour garantir l'exactitude. Assurer le respect des réglementations et normes en matière de santé, de sécurité et d'environnement. Collaborer efficacement avec l'équipe de direction pour garantir que les objectifs de production sont constamment atteints et dépassés.
Exigences Une qualification pertinente dans un domaine tel que l'agriculture, l'agronomie, la production végétale, l'horticulture ou une discipline étroitement liée est requise. Expérience pratique en agriculture commerciale. Une expérience pratique en culture horticole commerciale, avec un accent sur la production d'oignons, est hautement avantageuse. Compétent dans les systèmes agricoles commerciaux à travers le continent africain. Un leadership efficace, une communication claire et des capacités d'organisation exceptionnelles sont essentiels. Capacités de résolution de problèmes proactive démontrées par un engagement pratique et des compétences analytiques adeptes. Les professionnels ayant cinq à dix ans d'expérience pratique en agriculture commerciale sont fortement encouragés à soumettre leur candidature.

The Role Under the guidance of a seasoned management team, the chosen individual will collaborate in the daily oversight of a large-scale commercial farming enterprise. A vital aspect of the position entails facilitating the cultivation, preservation, and promotion of onions during the growing season, as well as playing a role in the administration of the extended cropping schedule for the rest of the year. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the development and implementation of commercial cropping programs. Facilitate cultivation, harvesting, post-harvest handling, storage, and market distribution of onion crops. Responsibilities include managing field operations such as planting, irrigation, fertilizer application, and crop protection. Evaluate crop performance and propose enhancements to optimize agricultural output. Oversee and inspire the farm workforce to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Provide support in the coordination and execution of machinery planning as well as operational logistics. Maintain precise and up-to-date production records to ensure accuracy. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards. Collaborate effectively with the management team to ensure that production targets are consistently met and exceeded. Requirements A relevant qualification in a field such as Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Production, Horticulture, or a closely related discipline is required. Practical commercial farming experience. Hands-on experience in commercial horticultural cultivation, with a focus on onion production, is highly advantageous. Skilled in commercial agricultural systems across the African continent. Effective leadership, clear communication, and exceptional organizational abilities are essential. Proactive problem-solving capabilities demonstrated through practical engagement and adept analytical skills. Professionals with five to ten years of hands-on experience in commercial farming are strongly encouraged to submit their applications.
