In pursuit of excellence, we are currently recruiting a highly skilled and meticulous professional to join our dynamic team. Payroll Specialist . The Role As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the complete payroll process and compliance framework for our client portfolio. Your role will involve ensuring precise and timely payments to every client employee, including handling multicurrency payrolls, while strictly adhering to all statutory obligations. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Payroll Processing: Oversee the monthly payroll cycle for numerous clients, meticulously verifying the precise calculation of base salary, overtime compensation, and additional allowances. Statutory Filings & Remittances: Compile, submit, and pay monthly returns punctually in accordance with statutory deadlines. ZRA (PAYE), NAPSA (pension), and NHIMA (health insurance). Simulations: As part of the role, you will handle compensation structures such as salary, gratuity, and other benefits, along with various calculations, including those that comply with gratuity regulations. Client Advisory: Act as the primary liaison for clients and employees seeking assistance with intricate payroll-related inquiries. Entity Relationships: As the firm’s representative, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining key relationships with local labor officers, the Zambia Revenue Authority (ERA), the National Pension Scheme Authority (NASA), and the Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB), among others. What We Are Looking For Must-Haves: 1-3+ years of experience Handle payroll processing and oversee statutory HR compliance requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in compiling payroll registers and reconciling data. Skilled in clearly articulating intricate local tax and employment regulations to international clients using accessible, straightforward language. Nice-to-Haves: Earned a degree or diploma in a relevant academic discipline. Proven proficiency in operating localized payroll software systems is required. Experienced in managing a diverse portfolio of client accounts simultaneously.
