Responsibilities include managing rental agreements, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering high-quality service to ensure client satisfaction and operational continuity. Role Overview: The Head of Management & Training oversees the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Alistair Group’s training and specialist training programs, alongside managing all personnel processes to ensure effective discipline, communication, analytics, and problem-solving under the guidance of the Head of Operations.

Responsibilities: Facilitate the execution of Alistair Group Operations to ensure adherence to all training and management objectives at the stipulated standards, fully aligned with the company’s guiding principles. Perform periodic needs assessments to guarantee that all fleets maintain a minimum buffer of 10% at all times. Deliver training and management initiatives in strict compliance with the relevant Alistair directives, established processes, and defined quality standards. Deliver guidance, oversight, and coaching to Managers and Trainers, guaranteeing adherence to all Alistair training and management protocols. Ensure the suitability of all instructional materials across all programs, providing appropriate recommendations as needed. Develop, obtain authorization for, and implement novel training and management frameworks, subsequently ensuring adherence to established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Deliver instruction with professionalism, timeliness, and precision, adhering to globally recognized best practices. Maintain accurate and detailed records by capturing, controlling, and updating all training and compliance documents within the designated dashboards and internal systems. On a monthly basis, conduct performance evaluations and deliver constructive feedback to assess progress and areas for improvement. Spearhead all disciplinary issues. Facilitate performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when warranted. Ensure adherence to all organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Liaise with external stakeholders. Develop and propose novel concepts or approaches to enhance the effectiveness of training programs and management practices. Champion the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) vision and values of Alistair Group with unwavering commitment and proactive leadership. Notify appropriate departments of any accidents, thefts, fines, or breakdowns while ensuring all legal obligations are properly addressed. Facilitate the dissemination of pertinent information regarding Alistair Group’s interests and the dynamics of the markets in which we operate to management and other key internal stakeholders. Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Head of Operations and/or Principals as necessary.

Demonstrate exceptional proficiency and dedication in cultivating the growth and development of direct reports. Keen to continually enhance professional competencies and expertise essential for excelling in the position.

Education: Earned a bachelor’s degree in logistics, finance, economics, or business management. A degree with honors or at the master’s level is preferred, with an MBA being an additional advantage. Minimum of five to ten years of hands-on experience in training and management roles is required. Seasoned professionals with a track record of operating articulated vehicles, particularly HOW SING models equipped with splitter gearboxes, are encouraged to apply. Seasoned professionals should possess hands-on experience operating Triable, Pup, and Super-link trailer configurations. Train the Trainer Certification. Trainer Certification. Dangerous Goods Certification. Proven expertise and hands-on experience with transport management software solutions are required. Zambian Citizen.
