JOB POSITION : MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR DEPARTMENT : MAINTENANCE REPORTS TO : GENERAL MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY: As Maintenance Supervisor You will be responsible for managing the execution of all daily maintenance operations, coordinating tasks to ensure timely completion. Your role will involve upholding the highest standards of product quality—both externally and internally—with a strong focus on compliance, health and safety, sustainability, and cost efficiency. Additionally, you will lead and mentor your team to reinforce these priorities effectively. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Addressing unforeseen maintenance and repair requirements, which may involve resolving leaks, plumbing issues, electrical faults, door lock malfunctions, and tile repairs. Conducting comprehensive building inspections, offering technical assistance and guidance to the Maintenance team throughout their operations. Provide guidance and recommendations on the selection and acquisition of materials necessary for plumbing installations and building repairs. Responsible for upholding inventory and equipment integrity, including verifying accurate stock levels and proper storage procedures. Ensure adherence to all established health and safety protocols and regulations within the hotel environment. Provide guidance and collaborate with fellow Maintenance team members to disseminate and implement industry best practices across the organization. Maintain vigilance for opportunities to enhance efficiency by adhering to the preventive maintenance schedule and ensuring all systems operate at peak performance at all times. To maintain optimal functionality, the role involves overseeing the upkeep of essential facility systems, including water supply, heating systems, and elevators. Ensure readiness to respond promptly to any emergencies, safeguarding the building and its critical systems while prioritizing the safety of all guests and colleagues. Assigned duties may include additional responsibilities as deemed necessary from time to time. QUALIFICATIONS Professionals must possess a General Certificate of Education (GCE) at the advanced level or an equivalent qualification, such as a Grade 12 certificate. 2) A Diploma in Construction Building Management, General Construction, or Civil Engineering is required; possession of a degree in a relevant field will be considered an additional benefit. . 3) Three ( 3 Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in General Construction and Maintenance, preferably complemented by industry exposure in Hospitality. Individuals must be at least 21 years of age but no older than 40.
