Compliance Executive

Context & Environment Tanzania, an English-speaking nation, boasts over sixty active Oil Marketing Companies. Among them, TEM TL stands as a prominent OMC, facing competition primarily from Puma and Onyx, its two main rivals. With a combined market share of approximately 8%, TEM TL operates in a highly regulated environment. The Tanzanian shilling serves as the local currency, though it occasionally exhibits volatility. The Compliance Executive collaborates with managerial and non-managerial personnel, in addition to interfacing with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Activities Conducts thorough due diligence searches, managing follow-ups on due diligence questionnaires while providing essential support to team members—including business contacts—and external parties involved in or required to complete the process. Coordinates the Tone at the Top program for the affiliate, ensuring the compliance communication program remains effective by fostering awareness of the code of conduct and other pertinent Company policies. Aids the Compliance Officer/PCD in coordinating compliance training sessions, which must occur at least quarterly, for all staff members and other pertinent external stakeholders.

Missions principales

• Maintains clear, consistent communication and drives ongoing enhancements to the compliance program to ensure its effectiveness. Works collaboratively across all departments to ensure their policies and procedures remain in alignment with the Group’s established directives. Works collaboratively with the Human Resource Department to guarantee mandatory and effective enrollment in the E-Learning training program, as well as other required compliance trainings for all staff members. The incumbent is responsible for championing the Company’s Compliance program across operational units and affiliated personnel, including service station staff. Additionally, they conduct and oversee tailored training sessions for both new and current employees, dealers, vendors, and transporters to ensure full alignment with compliance standards. Monitoring and documenting customer complaints specifically related to ethics and compliance matters. Monitor compliance-related reports consistently, ensuring they remain current and accurate, and prepare annual submissions detailing compliance activities as part of the organizational reporting obligations. Demonstrates unwavering dedication to upholding the Total Golden Rules and consistently utilizes STOP Cards in all operational activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols. Prepares purchase orders and processes goods receipts for all procurement activities within the Finance and Accounts Department. Develops and maintains an organized and efficient filing system to ensure accurate record-keeping and easy accessibility of information. Ensures that memos, letters, and other documents are accurately and promptly routed to the appropriate departments or units for processing and review. Compiles, maintains, and securely stores all departmental invoices, ensuring accurate record-keeping and easy retrieval as needed. Ensures that all units within the Finance and Accounts Departments receive necessary stationery supplies to facilitate the effective execution of their responsibilities. Handles additional responsibilities as may be delegated from time to time. Candidate Profile A recognized university must grant a Business degree or equivalent qualification as a prerequisite for this role. Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering strong professional relationships with individuals across diverse backgrounds through tactful and diplomatic communication.
