TLB Operator (Dump Truck Driver) – 2 Positions
H.E. Jackson Engineering Ltd (HEJ), a premier provider of engineering solutions across Malawi’s mining, energy, agriculture, construction, and manufacturing sectors, seeks two skilled TLB Operators (Dump Truck Drivers) for its Rumphi Project Site. This one-year fixed-term position requires adherence to high safety and operational standards under the supervision of the Earthworks Foreman or Site Manager within the Plant & Machine/Operations Department.
The role involves safely and efficiently operating a tipper truck to transport materials—including sand, quarry products, soil, and debris—while strictly following road safety regulations and company protocols. Key duties include loading and offloading materials in coordination with site personnel, conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections (e.g., brakes, tyres, oil, lights, fuel), and maintaining accurate records of deliveries, fuel consumption, and mileage. Operators must ensure spill-free transport, comply with traffic laws and occupational health and safety standards, report breakdowns or mechanical faults immediately, and keep the vehicle clean and properly serviced. Adherence to supervisor instructions and dispatch directives is mandatory, alongside the ability to perform additional assigned tasks as needed.
