Operations and Finance Manager

Donswift Company Limited is recruiting an Operations and Finance Manager for its office in Gulu, Uganda. This is a full-time permanent position (8am-5pm) in the NGO - Animal Protection sector.

Context of the position

You will ensure direct financial management, operations, procurement, and supervision of the administrative team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting, budgeting, grant management, and compliance, while establishing internal controls to protect the organization's assets.
  • Manage operations and procurement performance to maintain program efficiency and sound resource management.
  • Provide team leadership: staff performance evaluations, program impact monitoring, and mentoring of the administrative team.

Desired profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, with CPA qualification.
  • At least 7 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including over 3 years in a senior management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of fund accounting, tax returns, QuickBooks, financial reporting, writing, and compliance.
  • English proficiency required.
  • Experience: intermediate level (7 years).
