Dispensing Technician
Medi-Moses Clinic is recruiting a Dispensing Technician for its Accra site. This full-time position is based in the Greater Accra Region and falls under the medical and pharmaceutical sector.
Job Context
The Dispensing Technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications. The role includes processing prescriptions, preparing medications, managing stock, maintaining pharmacy records, and providing excellent customer service, while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and professional standards.
Main Responsibilities
Receive and verify prescriptions for completeness and accuracy. Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescribed medications. Label, count, measure, package, and prepare medications accurately. Maintain accurate patient and prescription records. Process reimbursement requests and payment transactions as applicable. Monitor stock levels, receive goods, and remove expired products. Maintain proper storage conditions for medications. Provide professional customer service and refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist. Maintain confidentiality and comply with pharmaceutical regulations. Participate in audits, inspections, and health and safety requirements.
Desired Profile
Diploma, HND, or certificate in dispensing technology, pharmaceutical technology, or a related health science field. Registration with the relevant regulatory body where applicable. 1 to 3 years of experience in retail, hospital, or community pharmacy. Knowledge of dispensing procedures, attention to detail, communication, customer service, organization, computer skills, and integrity. Experience level: intermediate. Language: English. Hours: full-time, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
