Organizational background:
The Denis and lenora Foretia Foundation aims to drive economic transformation in Africa through social entrepreneurship, innovation, and public health. Within this structure, the NKAFU POLICY INSTITUTE functions as a leading think tank providing expert policy recommendations to strengthen the Cameroonian and sub-Saharan economies through independent, high-quality research.
Roles and responsibility:
Under the supervision of the Director of the NKAFU POLICY INSTITUTE, the Division Director will enhance the technical and academic capacity of the unit. Key duties include:
• Direct supervision of all teams within the Peace and Security Division
• Providing strategic leadership and vision for research and policy delivery
• Driving innovative programming and overseeing organizational change management
• Leading grant acquisition efforts, including project drafting and execution
• Managing divisional activities to ensure timely delivery and multi-sector coordination
• Developing staff and stakeholder expertise through specialized training and workshops
• Facilitating inclusive evaluations through consensus-building and stakeholder dialogue
• Designing, implementing, and evaluating strategic projects
• Researching, drafting, and editing knowledge products focused on peace and security
• Fostering cutting-edge research and ensuring a steady flow of high-impact publications
• Organizing seminars and workshops to disseminate research findings
• Implementing peacebuilding and conflict prevention strategies in affected regions
• Collaborating with key partners to identify innovative approaches to peace operations
• Maintaining high standards of objectivity and clarity in all analytical outputs

• Evidence of publications in recognized international scientific journals
Education and experience:
• Minimum requirement: PhD in International Relations, Development, Economics, Political Science, or Sociology
• Experience: At least 5 years of professional practice in academic, public, or private sectors
• Expertise in research methodology and grant management
• Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and donor relations
• Experience in administrative coordination and event planning
• Fluency in both English and French with clear, concise communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and manage a specialized team
