Company Description Relief Gateway (REGA) is a humanitarian and development organization focused on strengthening human capital, community resilience, and planetary health. REGA advances health equity through integrated primary healthcare, preventive services, and large-scale health promotion initiatives, while also supporting mental health and psychosocial well-being. The organization works to protect vulnerable populations by combating gender-based violence, reinforcing child protection systems, and advocating for human rights, gender equality, and social justice. REGA also promotes access to quality education, entrepreneurial opportunities, and sustainable agriculture to improve livelihoods and food security. In parallel, it is committed to environmental stewardship and climate action, supporting community-led sustainability initiatives and the transition to renewable, circular economic models. Role Description The Volunteer role at Relief Gateway (REGA) is a full-time, on-site position based in Bamenda. Volunteers will support program implementation across health, protection, education, livelihood, and environmental initiatives, including assisting with community outreach, awareness campaigns, and data collection. Day-to-day tasks may involve coordinating with community health workers, facilitating group sessions or trainings, helping to organize safe spaces and community events, and supporting monitoring and reporting activities. Volunteers will collaborate with REGA staff and local partners to ensure that services are inclusive, culturally sensitive, and aligned with organizational standards and policies. The role may also include basic administrative support, documentation of field activities, and participation in team meetings and capacity-building sessions. Qualifications

Demonstrated interest in community development, public health, social justice, or environmental sustainability, preferably through volunteer work, internships, or community engagement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with diverse community members, including children, youth, and vulnerable groups. Basic organizational and coordination abilities, including time management, record-keeping, and supporting small group activities or events. Capacity to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, follow guidance from supervisors, and adapt to changing field conditions. Willingness to be based on-site in Bamenda, with readiness to carry out field visits and community-based activities as needed. Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages used in Bamenda is an asset. Educational background in fields such as social sciences, public health, education, environmental studies, agriculture, or related areas is an advantage but not strictly required. Commitment to safeguarding, non-discrimination, gender equality, and the protection of children and at-risk individuals.
