Expérience

The Reporting & Insights Officer supports TradeOn’s data-driven decision-making by transforming operational, financial and restaurant-level data into clear and actionable insights. This role focuses on building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, analysing key performance metrics and enabling the Operations and Finance teams with accurate, real‑time reporting. The ideal candidate is early in their analytics career but skilled in Power BI and passionate about using data to improve restaurant performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency. Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Power BI Reporting & Dashboard Development Developing, maintaining, and improving Power BI reports for Operations, Finance, HR, and Executive Leadership. Building visually clear dashboards that track restaurant KPIs (sales, labour, COS, speed of service, customer metrics). Connecting, cleaning, and modelling data from multiple QSR systems (e.g., GAAP, Firecell, People systems, internal trackers). Ensuring reports refresh successfully and troubleshooting data or visual errors. Data Analysis & Insights Analysing weekly and monthly restaurant performance trends to highlight risks, opportunities, and variances. Supporting Operations with deep‑dive analyses on labour efficiency, stock variance, waste, profitability drivers, and customer patterns. Identifying patterns that guide decision-making around staffing, promotions, forecasting, and restaurant performance improvement. Translating data findings into practical recommendations relevant to busy QSR environments Data Quality, Governance & Maintenance Cleaning and validating raw data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Performing quality checks on POS feeds, stock files, labour data, and other input sources. Maintaining structured Power BI data models aligned with company KPIs and brand standards. Stakeholder Support & Enablement Working closely with Operations leadership teams and Support Centre departments to understand reporting needs. Providing basic training to end‑users on how to navigate and interpret dashboards. Presenting insights in simple, clear formats suitable for both technical and non‑technical audiences. Ad Hoc Reporting & Special Projects Supporting Operations and Finance with custom analytics requests.

Formation / Diplômes

Contributing to digital transformation initiatives, including automation, improved reporting frameworks, AI‑assisted insights, and data standardisation projects.

Diploma or degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. Minimum: 2 years’ experience in reporting, analytics, or Business Intelligence (Power BI experience essential). Strong proficiency in: o Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Data Modelling) o Excel (advanced functions, data manipulation, reporting) o SQL (basic to intermediate; ability to query and extract data) Advantageous: Experience with QSR/FMCG systems (GAAP, Firecell and inventory tools/stock solutions). Ability to analyse operational, financial, and customer data and translate it into clear, actionable insights for fast‑paced restaurant operations. Key Personal Inherent Characteristics Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Analytical thinker with a passion for problem‑solving. Comfortable working with large datasets and fast‑moving operational data.
