Candidate Requirements:

Completion of secondary education, preferably with HR-related courses

At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources

Fluency in Spanish and proficient English

Strong technical proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office 365

Demonstrated attention to detail and service-oriented approach

Experience in complex, multicultural international organizations is desirable

UNICEF Dominican Republic is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented People & Culture Assistant (G‑5) to provide high‑quality administrative, procedural and operational support across a wide range of HR functions. Under the guidance of the People & Culture Officer, this role Assistant will contribute to efficient delivery of recruitment and placement processes, administration of entitlements, staff data management, learning and organizational culture initiatives, and general HR operations — ensuring timely, accurate and client‑focused service in line with UNICEF rules and regulations. The ideal candidate is an organized and service‑oriented team player, capable of maintaining confidentiality, handling multiple priorities, and supporting colleagues with empathy, tact and professionalism. This role is essential in helping UNICEF deliver high‑quality HR services that enable programmes and teams to achieve impactful results for children.
