Please join us in carrying out our mission ( [Click the Apply button below to see the contact details] Project Overview: The CDC-funded Achieving and Maintaining Epidemic Control through Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care and Treatment Services in the Kinshasa Region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) under the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) project will work to increase population access to comprehensive HIV/AIDS services in order to decrease HIV/AIDS associated morbidity and mortality and contribute to successful epidemic control in the Kinshasa Region of the DRC. The project will focus on expanding existing prevention interventions, including prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV and HIV prevention among key populations; care and treatment (C&T), including TB/HIV and sexual and gender-based violence services; HIV laboratory and related diagnostic services; and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and quality improvement (QI) activities. Position Overview: The Orphans and Vulnerable Children Lead will coordinate the linkages between community stakeholders and healthcare workers to increase the quality of care for OVC and adolescents. S/he will work to identify gaps in care and develop community-based, client-orientated strategies to increase quality of care. S/he will have responsibility for the prevention, care, and treatment technical components of the project as they relate to OVC and adolescents. S/he will assist with rapid scale-up. Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project and the selection of final applicant is subject to CDC approval. Job Description: Implement and assist with the design of program activities and services to decrease HIV/AIDS associated morbidity and mortality and contribute to successful epidemic control prevention in key populations; Coordinate linkages between community stakeholders and healthcare workers to increase the quality of care and C&T for TB, HIV, and sexual and gender-based violence services, as related to OVC and adolescents; Assist in the development of clinical and programmatic standards and procedures for HIV and HIV/TB integrated health services, as related to OVC and adolescents; Assist facility and sub-district level HIV and TB/HIV teams, as relating to OVC and adolescents; in developing communication and monitoring strategies to improve the quality and compliance with the implementation of the various strategies to improve provider compliance and patient adherence with treatment regimens; Conduct and facilitate training related to HIV and HIV/TB management, both clinical and managerial with the intention of improving HIV/TB treatment outcomes, as related to OVC and adolescents; Work closely with Department of Health and facility personnel and other stakeholders e.g. laboratory services, pharmacy to develop and implement strategies to strengthen HIV and TB/HIV program management, relating to OVC and adolescents; Work closely with other partners working on HIV and TB/HIV programs including other PEPFAR partners; Collaborate with HIV and HIV/TB related NGOs/CBOs to facilitate continuity of care and improve HIV and HIV/TB treatment outcomes; Support the development of Policies and Guidelines for the implementation of HIV and TB/HIV programs activities, relating to OVC and adolescents; Support the monitoring and evaluation of all HIV and TB/HIV programs related activities; and

Responsabilités

Required Experience & Qualifications: Minimum of a college degree in Public Health, Nursing, Health Administration, Management Social Work, or Business Administration with a focus on public health, social sciences, or related field;

Expérience

Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in technically designing and managing programs related to key populations, OVC and adolescents, and HIV, preferably in West Africa;
