Service Technician – (Equipment Servicing/ Maintenance / CCNA / Millwright / Electrician) – DRC

Reference No. AK11 Reference Number: AK11 Job Description: Our client, a global leader in controlled environments and safety technologies, is seeking to appoint a Service Technician within their team. The role involves maintaining and servicing the equipment, particularly refuge chambers, and ensuring the functionality of the remote system monitoring. The successful candidate will work autonomously, provide excellent customer service, and collaborate with strategic partners, technicians, and sales teams to support mining operations. Responsibilities: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on refuge chambers to ensure optimal condition, including planned services and component repairs.

Install and test refuge chamber components, ensuring compliance with internal/external requirements and quality management systems. Commission and troubleshoot refuge chambers on-site, addressing electrical faults and providing technical advice to customers. Minimize downtime by resolving issues promptly and adhering to repair and maintenance deadlines. Generate accurate reports for customers and management to track service activities and outcomes. Provide training and technical guidance to site personnel on chamber operation, maintenance, and emergency procedures. Monitor and maintain the remote system monitoring, ensuring real-time tracking, functionality, and timely issue resolution. Identify opportunities for equipment on-site to enhance operational efficiency. Build and maintain relationships with key strategic partners and deliver excellent customer service with technical support. Attend safety meetings and represent the company, addressing issues, complaints, and promoting the brand while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements : Qualification and Skill

Expérience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the electrical field. Trade test certification as an Electrician or Millwright. CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) qualification as a minimum.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Relationship-building skills with clients and strategic partners. Medically and physically fit to operate in a manufacturing environment and perform physically demanding tasks. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
