About the role
Parklane Travels is opening its Limbe branch as the third anchor on our Yaoundé–Buea–Limbe corridor, operating from two locations: the Gardens VIP pickup point and the Mile 4 terminal. We are looking for a Branch Coordinator to take operational ownership of both sites from day one, lead the on-the-ground team, and build Limbe into a profitable hub for our VIP passenger and courier/logistics services.
Success in this role looks like a branch that runs cleanly against our standard operating procedures, hits its revenue targets, and earns a reputation in Limbe for reliability, safety, and customer care.
The Branch Coordinator reports to the General Manager and sits within Parklane's branch leadership group alongside the Yaoundé and Buea coordinators. Under our RACI structure, the role is directly Responsible for revenue performance at the branch, working closely with the marketing, finance, fleet, and HR functions at headquarters.
Responsibilities
Run daily operations at both the Gardens VIP pickup point and the Mile 4 terminal, ensuring departures, boarding, luggage handling, ticketing, and parking are executed in line with Parklane SOPs. Lead, schedule, and develop the Limbe branch team (hostesses, ticketing agents, courier handlers, security, and cleaning staff), including coaching, performance feedback, and discipline where required. Own the branch P&L: drive passenger ticket sales, return ticket adoption, and ancillary revenue while controlling local operating costs. Serve as the face of Parklane in Limbe with passengers, corporate clients, suppliers, local authorities, and community stakeholders, including Council, transport unions, and security services. Manage cash and ticket reconciliation daily, ensuring all payments (cash, mobile money, bank) are accurately recorded, banked, and reported. Work with the marketing team on local activation — pickup-point visibility, community partnerships, corporate B2B outreach, and feedback collection from passengers. Maintain the branch's physical infrastructure (premises, generator/solar backup, borehole water system, signage, security) and escalate maintenance issues promptly. Ensure compliance with Cameroonian transport regulations, MINPOSTEL postal/courier rules, tax/e-invoicing requirements, and Parklane's internal governance and audit standards. Lead incident response at the branch — passenger complaints, security events, vehicle issues, lost luggage — and follow through to root-cause resolution.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in business administration, transport/logistics, operations management, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years managing a team in a customer-facing operations environment (transport, logistics, hospitality, retail, or similar). Fully bilingual in English and French, with the ability to lead a team and serve customers comfortably in both languages — strong working English is essential for the Limbe market. Demonstrated experience running daily operations against documented procedures and KPIs, including cash handling and shift management. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and comfort using digital booking, dispatch, or fleet management tools. Sound judgment in handling cash, staff conduct, and customer disputes, with a track record of operating with integrity. Willingness to be based full-time in Limbe and to work non-standard hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as operations require.
Desirable
Familiarity with the Southwest Region of Cameroon, particularly the Limbe–Buea corridor, and existing networks with local corporate clients, hotels, or community organizations. Prior experience in intercity transport, courier/last-mile delivery, fleet operations, or branch management for a service business. Exposure to data-driven operations: reading dashboards, working with booking system reports, or contributing to performance reviews. Experience launching a new site, branch, or business unit. A professional certification in operations, logistics, supply chain, or project management is an asset.
