What we are looking for The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient, and dynamic professional to take up the role of Logistics Manager for Haiti . The purpose of the role is to be responsible that the logistic set up is according to NRC standard and to support programme/project implementation. What you will do Line management responsibilities for directly reporting staff. This includes the Performance management process; setting clear goals aligned to country strategy and priorities, and to follow up and support staff’s achievement. Responsible for key processes as workforce planning, recruitment, staff induction and development and ensure Duty of Care for own staff
Ensure that country logistics structure complies with NRC Logistical Guidelines, NRC policies and donor requirements Implement NRC’s logistics systems and procedures and develop in country logistics policy documentation in line with NRC Global procedure Ensure timely provision of logistics support services to all NRC CO program activities’. Ensure close and regular communication, coordination and planning with all logistics and program managers in all NRC Area Offices (AOs). Provide an enabling environment for the implementation of cash-based interventions through collaboration between program and support teams and the development of relevant guidelines and standard operating procedures. Contribute to the identification of opportunities to implement cash-based interventions and market-based programs by participating in assessments and response analysis discussions. Master’s degree with minimum 3-5 years of experience from working as a senior Logistics Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities Experience of data collection, analysis and report writing Knowledge of market analysis tools and approaches Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile Fluency in French and English both written and verbal Solid knowledge of computer software and modern accounting systems Knowledge of the context in Haiti is an asset. Experience with start-up, exit, or similar, including experience in establishing new systems and procedures in start-ups Good knowledge of Haitian Créole is an advantage Valid driving license What we offer Duty station: Port-au-Prince, Haiti Contract: fixed national contract signed with ECSI, or international contract 12 months (renewable subject to funding and performance) Travel: 30% to areas of intervention Salary/benefits: grade 9 on NRC’s salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions
