Job Context
A reputable manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance and reliability of machinery in its plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and implementing preventive maintenance systems.
Main Responsibilities
Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all plant equipment.
Diagnose and repair breakdowns on production machinery.
Ensure maximum machine availability to support production targets.
Supervise maintenance technicians and external service providers.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and spare parts usage.
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
Conduct regular inspections and recommend improvements for equipment performance.
Participate in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery.
Collaborate with the production team to improve operational efficiency.Desired Profile
HND or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency in maintenance planning and reporting systems.
Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Good leadership and team supervision skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in basic computer tools (Excel, Word, maintenance logs).
