Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania’s leading gold producer with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in Denver, USA. The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s South East of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. The company has its head office in Geita, only 5 Km’s west of the fast-growing town of Geita, and also a supporting office in Dar es Salaam. Applications are invited from ambitious, energetic and performance driven graduates to take part in the company graduate programme as described below: THE OPPORTUNITY Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) has been a strong supporter to the government initiatives to enhance graduates’ employability in Tanzania, having implemented internships and other graduate programmes for several years. GGML is contributing towards skills development in Tanzania by providing graduates with opportunities to gain work experience in various skills areas. The Graduate Programme provides an opportunity to unemployed graduates to gain meaningful work experience that will complement their studies and provide them with experience that could help them gain access to the labour market. What Is In It For You – Investment in your personal development – Opportunity to work for a global company – Having business exposure and accountability from day one What To Expect – Training & personal development – Support to fulfill your potential and career goals – Build expertise in your chosen career path What We Are Looking For – Demonstrate creativity and adaptability – Very good academic record evidenced by: – University degree earned no earlier than 2022 – A First Class or Second-Class honors – Critical thinking, initiative, and analytical skills Qualification Required & Experience To qualify for the GGML Graduate Trainee programme, applicants MUST: – Be a Tanzanian citizen – Be an unemployed Tanzanian graduate aged between 18 – 30 years – Applicants must have graduated between 2022 and 2025 – Eligible applicants must possess a tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s degree) in any of the following disciplines: – – Mining Engineering/Hydrogeology – Geological Engineering/Earth Science/Geotechnical Engineering – Geomatic Engineering – Metallurgical/Mineral/Material Science/Chemical Engineering – Mechanical Engineering – Industrial Engineering / Management Information Systems (MIS) / Business Analytics / Mathematics – Electrical / Electronic Engineering – Environmental Science/Natural Resources/Renewable Energy – Environment and Safety Engineering – Security Management, Cybersecurity, Global Security and Intelligence Studies, Information Technology – Finance / Business Administration (Finance) / Accounting – Human Resource Management / Management Studies / Business Administration (HR) – Law (LLB) – Mass Communication / Marketing Communication / Photographing / Video Graphing – Female Graduates and People with Disability are highly encouraged
