Inventory and Warehouse Supervisor

Description: Implement an integrated and consistent approach to warehouse management and inventory control within the supply chain. The "warehouse" function consists of managing the warehouse, contributing to the implementation of good storage practices, allocating staff between the different storage facilities on the site, evaluating the security of storage facilities and items in stock, as well as identifying and recommending improvements necessary for the proper functioning of the warehouse. Ongoing attention and follow-up is given to improving existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ongoing work (WIPs) in order to provide optimal service to customers. The inventory management function is to direct the supply chain inventory control section by ensuring the integrity of the Pronto ERP system data in relation to items in physical stock, in accordance with the requirements and guidelines of the procurement manager/warehouse coordinator to meet operational needs. The focus is on minimum and maximum level analysis, cataloguing, good storage practices, cyclical inventory program, stock movement analysis, stock analysis (ABC method), demand analysis and obsolete items. Constant attention and revision is given to improving existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ongoing work (WIPs) in order to offer an optimal service to customers. Objectives:

• Maintain or improve the rotating inventory rate to ensure that all inventories are inventoried twice a year.
• Ensure that rotating inventories are carried out accurately and that deviations are systematically analyzed and corrected
• Analyze requests, review and correct inventory discrepancies on a daily basis.
• Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) in the Inventory Control section
• Maintain or improve the rotating inventory rate to ensure that all inventories are inventoried twice a year.

Location

• Ensure the accuracy of rotating inventories and that gap investigations result in concrete action
• Analyze demand, investigate and correct stock discrepancies daily.
• Create and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) in the Inventory Control section.
• Ensure that the VMI and CON reconciliation is done on time and ensure that resupply is done correctly.
• Start evaluating the performance of the inventory control team.
• Adopt a practical, day-to-day approach to optimizing efficiency through efficient stock placement, warehouse analysis and maintaining the accuracy of the Pronto ERP system against available physical inventory.
• Establish and maintain standards for an accurate audit of the respective sections.
• Launch an initiative to reduce inventory costs by reducing stock levels and identifying obsolete stocks.
• Launch an inventory analysis for ABC classification, investment spare parts and those covered by insurance.

Education / Qualifications

• Report risks and provide training to warehouse staff.
• Ensure that the maintenance schedule of the machines is up to date and that their daily check before starting is carried out.
• Adopt a practical, day-to-day approach to optimizing efficiency through effective daily inspection of the safety of all warehouse premises, bulk cargo management, inspection of all transport vehicles, and scheduling of warehouse personnel for their assignments.
• Unloading of freight and deliveries, receipt and storage.
• Manage, analyze, mitigate and correct any deviations found in inventory operations related to debit orders and receipt of purchase orders.
• Develop a competency matrix and personal development program for team members.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and environmental policy.
