Logistics Manager

Job description Under the authority of the Technical Director, the Logistics Manager plans, organizes, coordinates and optimizes all logistics flows necessary for the proper functioning of the semi-industrial gold mining project on permits AESI0742 and AESI0743. He/She guarantees the availability of material resources, transport, physical supplies, storage, fleet management, staff movements, site deliveries and logistical support to operations. The incumbent ensures the continuity of field supply chains, control of logistics costs, compliance with HSE requirements, the safety of goods and people, as well as the quality of service delivered to the different project departments. ???? • Management of transport, movements and logistics fleet
• Store management, inventory and internal distribution
• Logistical support at camp, site and operations
• Team management and coordination of service providers
• HSE, Security and Logistics Compliance
• Budget monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement

Candidate profile

Education / Qualifications

• Diploma Bac+3 to Bac+5 in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Trade, Industrial Management or equivalent field.
• A specialization in mining logistics, isolated site transport, warehouse management or industrial supply chain is a major asset.
• Good command of French and good knowledge of professional English desired.
• Driving licence category B compulsory; knowledge of the realities of driving on a mining site is an asset.
• Good command of office tools, including Excel, as well as logistics monitoring and reporting tools.
• Additional training in HSE, fleet management, logistics security or storage appreciated.

Experience

• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in logistics, transport, supply chain or logistics operations management, including significant experience in supervision or management.
• Proven experience in a highly desired mining, industrial, construction, oil or isolated site environment.
• Experience in fleet management, warehouses, field movements, service providers and logistics support to operations appreciated.
• Good knowledge of logistical constraints in West Africa and difficult-to-access environments is an important advantage.
• Experience in multi-service coordination and logistics emergency management desired

• Ability to track logistics costs, analyze variances and drive performance indicators.
