[ABOUT THE JOB]
PSL (Petro Services et Logistique) recruits a claims and insurance manager for the protection of its assets and the security of its activities.
[DUTIES]
- Management of the insurance portfolio
- Identify and assess insurable risks; negotiate, subscribe and renew policies at the best conditions of guarantee and cost
- Maintain a policy dashboard and ensure that coverages comply with legal obligations (car insurance, transportation of hazardous materials, RC)
- Loss management and follow-up
- Report claims within contractual time frames; build and review files; monitor appraisals and negotiate compensation
- Relaunch insurers and brokers; manage claims against third parties and keep the claim register up to date
- Reporting and regulatory compliance
- Produce periodic reporting on the loss and condition of the portfolio
- Ensure regulatory monitoring (CIMA code, CEMAC transport law) and contribute to the bonus budget
- Be the interface with brokers, auditors and regulatory authorities
[PROFILE]
- Training: Bac+3/4 in insurance, law, risk management or finance (e.g. IIA, ISSEA, ESSEC-Douala, CIMA insurance sector)
- Experience: 3-5 years minimum in claims or insurance portfolio management, ideally in transportation, logistics or the oil/industrial sector
- Skills: CIMA Code, fleet/goods/RC policies, expertise and compensation procedures; knowledge of CEMAC transport law and hazardous materials risks
- Tools: Office Pack (Advanced Excel), Insurance/Deals Portfolio Management Tools, Copywriting Ease
- Languages: fluent French (English would be an asset)
